"Mom"ager -- February 18

February 18, a weird day to start a blog, but I've become inspired by the recent events in our lives so here we go.
I will start by saying Morgan was lucky enough (and talented enough) to score a great agent.  And ever since that happened, I have been extremely busy!
Today was her first audition.  It took awhile for Dan and I to decide whether or not to let her do this audition. It is for an independent film and the subject matter is heavy.  But, we decided to let her for the pure experience of the audition.
So we woke up at 730am, got ready for dance class, because that came first.  We went to dance, went to my sisters to get ready and pick up Aunty and then headed to a quick acting class to prepare for our first "acting" audition.
She seemed to be excited, knew her lines pretty well (surprised the heck out of me!) and off we went to LA (wilshire and la brea).
Morgan slept all the way down there and woke up when we got off the freeway.  My sister got car sick all the way down there and accused me of purposely driving on every bump in the road.  Some of them I did hit on purprose after I knew she was kind of getting sick :o) what are sisters for?!
Morgan loves to marvel at the city.  The tall buildings and the traffic.  She says every time we go there for something how she would like to live there.  She is her mothers daughter.  My sister tried to discourage her by telling her how dirty it was HAHAHA.
So we find the place and find street parking at a meter.  We walk into the building and take an elevator up to the sixth floor.  This, after we got into one elevator and it didn't work, so we jumped out and got into another one and Morgan and my sister were scaring each other saying it was haunted.
I sign her in and look around at the other kids with their parents and think to myself this is quite the experience that I never thought would happen so quickly.  I sit and wait for her name to be called whil Cara went in the hallway to practice the lines with her.
She gets called in and she walks in by herself (which she has no problem doing).  A few mnutes later she walks out, I thank the casting people and we leave.  I ask Morgan how she did, she said good and that it was fun.  THAT WAS IT!  So anticlimactic.  I didn't even get to go in there and see how great she did or how much she bombed, I don't even have an idea how she did.  It's like asking her what she did at school that day and she says "oh I played."  Cara did listen at the door but could only hear so much.
SIGH.
So we left the audition and I tried to pry a few more details out of her but all I could manage to come up with was this:
-the people were nice
-they did the lines with her
-there were two of them
-they gave her a high five

The problem with this being her first audition is just that, it was her first.  NO idea what to expect.  And I suppose now we wait to hear from her agent to find out if she's been on the call back list or not.
Will keep you updated!

After the audition we stopped at H & M to find an outfit for next weekends audition.
Next weekend she has a print audition for H&M!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We stopped at the H&M in Pasadena, waited in a lot of traffic, found parking only to find out it did not have a childrens section!!
So we headed to the one at Ontario Mills.
This is what Morgan looked like on the way home:
She was exhausted but we found an outfit for next weekend with Aunty's fashion help and came home for dinner and an early bedtime!
